July is going to be a busy month for Braden Lodge.
July 7th is a dark week for the lodge. As per our charter, we have no stated meetings on the first Thursday of July or August, but that does free up the night to try new things, so we’re planning to start our own Junto!
The first meeting of the Braden Leather Apron Club, the first experiment in our developing Satellite Lodge concept, is scheduled for 8pm on Thursday, July 7th.
Attendance is free, and open to masons and non-masons alike, but seating is very limited. Please go here if you wish to sign up.
July 14th is Braden Lodge’d 125th anniversary!
The event will begin at 6:30 PM on July 14th at the Triune Temple in the city of St Paul.
A preview of the evening’s activities:
- A casual dinner will be served prepared by brothers of Braden Lodge #168
- An address from the master, Jesse Williams.
- The presentation of a paper on the History of Braden Lodge written by Erick Crail.
- An interactive reenactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, organized by Matthew Gallagher.
The first 100 attendees will receive a token, uniquely crafted for the occasion by Mike Magee, a gold smith and biological brother of a Braden Member (http://www.dolmenmetalworks.com/)
More on both of these events coming soon!
